The front drive FreeMotion 570 Interactive elliptical offers a commercial gauge steel frame, a 30-lb inertia-enhanced flywheel and Silent Magnetic Resistance (SMR) for smooth and frictionless resistance. A 20"-22" adjustable stride length and the -10° to 20° Decline/Incline Ramp gives the user a broad range to activate different muscle groups and achieve a better workout.
Other features of the FreeMotion 570 elliptical include a compatible music port for an iPod or MP3 player, an Intermix Acoustics 2.0 sound system with 2" built-in speakers, soft-touch upper body workout arms, one-step resistance controls, workout fan with adjustable settings, water bottle holder, and transport wheels.
The iFit technology gives you street views from around the world with Powered by Google Maps. When you use an interactive program, the resistance and incline automatically adjust to match the intensity of the terrain seen on the screen.
With iFit, you can also download programs designed by trainer Jillian Michaels as well as track your training results on your own personal page. The browser feature and iFit requires a wireless network set-up in your home.
It’s like the old saying: if it sounds too good to be true – it probably is. The FreeMotion 570 Interactive elliptical is big on features and very weak on quality of construction.
It should be a slam-dunk solid frame and design, but instead, user reviews indicate problems with the computer, defects in the moving arms, and frustrations dealing with Icon’s notoriously horrible customer service.
FreeMotion actually lists the MSRP of this model on its website as being $4,999! We’ve seen it at Amazon.com for $2,499 and at Sports Authority for $1,599. Due to poor quality, we wouldn’t want one at any price.
