The Life Fitness Club Series elliptical is identical to the commercial model, offering a premium, gym-like experience for home users. This residential version has the same pure and natural motion as the award-winning club machine, and is one of their most popular machines.
The Club Series Console features Total-Body and Lower-Body Trainer workout modes to hit different muscles groups. The 18 workouts programs include 7 personalized workouts, a race mode, and goal workouts. The feedback console on the Life Fitness Club Series elliptical displays a 16-character message center as well as readouts for distance, speed, level, time, calories, METs, Watts, and Heart Rate.

In addition to a superior level of comfort provided during the workout, the Life Fitness Club Series elliptical offers a variety of exciting programs including 10 Heartsync as well as manual workouts.
Among the special workouts you get Around the World, Cascades, Foothills, Kilimanjaro, Speed Training, and Interval Training. A Polar wireless chest strap comes with the unit for hands-free heart rate monitoring, or you can use the sensors on the handlebars to get a reading.
Elliptical reviews are overwhelmingly favorable on every model Life Fitness builds, and this one ranks near the top on most Best Buy lists for its price range.
The Life Fitness Club Series cross trainer offers an incredibly smooth glide, accurate HR monitoring, great programs, wonderful ergonomics, and Life Fitness machines have a reputation for being reliable (equipment techs report few if any breakdowns).
The only downside to this machine is the lack of adjustability in the fixed 18" stride length — well, that and the big price tag. If you are on the taller side you will be better served with the new Club Series Plus or theup-level Platinum Club Series model, both of which have a more generous 20" stride.
But if you are of average size, the base Club model will be just fine for your needs.
The Club Series models are closer to the ellipticals that you find at the gym...built heavier and sturdier for heavier usage by multiple people.
You have the base Club model that we have discussed above, as well as the new Club + and top of the line Platinum Club. Besides the longer strides, the up-level models have several differences. Let's take a look...
Club Series
The Club Series has a basic LCD display and a 350 lb. max user weight capacity.
Club Series Plus
The up-level model has an advanced 7" touch screen display, Bluetooth workout tracking, multi-grip handles, more resistance levels and a 400 lb. max user weight capacity.
Platinum Club Series Plus
The most advanced elliptical in the series has four frame color options, 3 console options, unique workout programs not available on the other models and other advanced touches.
The Life Fitness Club Series elliptical is the exact same price as the Life Fitness E5 with basic console, both sell for $4,299. They are great machines and are the ultimate in home ellipticals.
If you have the budget for a high-end machine, this one is a winner, as is the E5 with its 18" to 24" automatic adjusting stride length and a choice between a basic or advanced console.
